I think the Pistons get the better of this deal. Billups just hasn't been the offensive player the last couple of years that they needed. Iverson has improved offensively actually. The Nuggets get the short end for a couple of reasons. One Iverson so many times needed to carry the offense in Denver and trying to run the o through Carmelo just didn't work half the time. Carmelo just is so hot and cold. Now with less offense, Billups does nothing for the pathetic front court defense of the Nuggets, considering they traded away Camby this year makes it even worse. Good trade for the Pistons, not so good for the Nuggets.

Dumars is lining everything up for 2009/10. Iverson is gone after this year. Wallace and Hamilton's contracts are off the books after this year. Stuckey plays with AI for a year and becomes the starter at PG next year. That's a ton of money that he can use to put together whatever team he wants in 2010.

I like the deal. The Pistons need to shake things up. I have gotten bored of watching them the past year. This is pique my interest again.

I completely forgot about Stucky. The Pistons still have a solid Guard in him but are gonna miss Billups' clutch shooting and free throws. Hopefully the shake-up helps them though.

Sounds like a good trade for both teams, the chemistry just didn't seem to be there for Iverson and Anthony. I mean for that kind of money, just barely making the playoffs last year just doesn't cut it for the nuggets.

So now it seems that trade was part of an effort to get LeBron in 2010. If this is the case huge thumbs up to Joe Dumars and the Pistons. Everyone knows LBJ likes New York but the Pistons would probably be immediate championship contenders if you add him into the mix.
