I am trying to overclock my IWILL KK266, and I cannot get my FSB speed past 129 Mhz. There is a jumper that has "FSB select jumper" and options are FSB 100 Mhz and FSB 133 Mhz. Whenever I try to change this jumper to 133, then the system will not boot. Also, if I go above 129 with the 100Mhz jumper setting, then it will not boot (or screen will not connect) and I must restart the FSB at 100. I have unlocked my multiplier... brought it down... upped the core voltage.... I am a semi-newbie at o/c ing and this is a big problem for me. I thought that my mobo wont support it, but then again, why the jumper setting? ANY help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Well, for starters tell us what CPU you have. is it a 266 or a 200 cpu?

Actually the reason im responding is that my KK266R acts the same way. no matter what I cannot get it to boot@133fsb. I tried bios updates and the works. Nothing has helped me.

Check out this FAQ site on the kk266 series. X-FAQTOR

Maybe your chip cannot do it? I have a KK266 with 1ghz AVIA.. and the thing overclocks to 1333 PERFECT with 133mhz bus. I love it. But 135+mhz fsb just plain doesn't work even with more voltage.

I got the same problem. I flashed the bois, and that fixed the problem. Now running at 151 MHZ bus, with a 1.0 Axia (200 mhz) for a total of 1510 MHZ. 1.9 Voltage.

Try clearing the cmos and start over. It is possible that your ram does not support FSB in excess of 129mhz. Is your ram rated to run at 133mhz (PC133)?? If it's PC100, then consider yourself lucky to be able to run at 129mhz coz it's not meant to be run in excess of 100mhz. However, if it is rated for speeds of 133mhz and above, check whether it's rated to run at Cas 2 or Cas 3. If it's Cas 3 ram, check your settings again to ensure that you are not running at Cas 2.

By the way, when you said that the system would not boot, what kind of beeping sound does the pc speaker produce? If it's beeps short regular beeps continuously, then the problem lies in your ram.

i think this is the same problem i ran into... why dont you try lowering the multiplier before switching the jumper to 133fsb mode.. cause i think it tries to boot with the multiplier you are currently at times the new fsb which should be 133
