Iwill or Promise Raid Card?

I'm looking to buy a raid card, and notice that the Promise FastTrak 100 TX2costs ~$80 while the Iwill Side-RAID100costs only ~$45. I know the Iwill uses the High Point HPT370controller, but is it that much worse than the Promise chipset?

I just am looking for pros and cons for each card/chipset.

Neither. Go for the 3ware, and get far better performance.

I know they've reviewed Promise and 3ware IDE RAID cards. If they haven't reviewed the Iwill itself, they've probably reviewed something with the same controller.

if you can, buy a promise ultra 100, make the modification shown here and turn it into a fast track 100 raid card

The mods for the Promise UltraATA card look pretty ghetto to me. I'd rather just get the real deal for a little more.

And it seems as if the Iwill card is looking good ... anybody out there who has any problems/praise for this card?

I'd like to know too. I was going to wait for the KR7-RAID, but that won't be out until November from what I hear, but the Shuttle AK31 v3.1 + Iwill RAID will be cheaper & I can use the RAID card in future rigs.
