I'd like to try these two together, but just not quite sure....

Motherboard + CPU

Never tried either (cpu has only just been released.)

Should make a nice budget office machine though for fully functional wp, spreadheets, database & internet etc.

I have no idea if jetway makes decent mobos...

Fry's has the 2180 or 2200 with board for $78.99 ends today.

I ordered this today without knowing much about it. The price is pretty crazy -- it sounds like it will overclock (the downloadable manual mentions that you can vary CPU voltage), but at the price, a stable board is all you can expect.

The say they are the 5th-largest motherboard manufacturer in Taiwan. Newegg reviews look fine.

I can't believe they would be ranked so high on a world-scale. Does anyone know anything about Jetway or read any independent reviews out of interest? I'd be interested to know too...

If you can, let us know how the overclocking features work out for you.

Cheap for a Conroe 775 board, and it even has basic video built-in.
Cons: older AC97 audio spec, no Gig lan, and 2G ram limit.

I had been considering a Jetway AM2 690G board, in part because it was said to have a good OC bios.
