Just watched this for the 3rd time last night and I think this is going to be the "surprise" ending. Even better would be if none of the other actors knew he was also an actor planted by the producers in which case he was playing them. That would be a classic ending to see the other actors' reaction.

Either he's an actor or they did an incredible job screening for this guy and predicting his reaction to everything. Much easier to screen for the right actor and have full control over the entire direction of the show. Having none of the other actors knowing what's going on would be harder but I think this guy could/is pulling it off.
