Judge Dredd patch loop...ach!!

So, I got the game and it automatically tells you there's a patch available. Patches = Good in my experience so I let it do the auto update to get to version 1.01. Now the game is stuck in this endless loop of starting game and getting patch. You can't tell the game to bypass getting the patch, so it wants to get the same patch over and over again. No is not an option.

I'll try a reboot but I'm not a happy camper!!!

Any ideas?
