Just did 55 push ups...

I do 200 declined push ups a day (my feet are on my counter top), along with the rest of my workout .

You're not suppose to put your head toward the deck. Lift it up straight next time you do push up.

Good job. Do that many once a day and your chest will develop where you will notice it.

I used to be able to do 200 declined pu a day but now I don't know...never did it for at least 5 years already...hehe...I'll be lucky if I can do 55 now!

I did all 55 in a minute. Either way, my neck hurts cuz I had to cheat a little on the last few -- I really wanted to get to a round nubmer :-/

BTW, in the Army PT test, you have two minutes to do your pushups. 55 would be a pass, but not by much

Back in the day, I averaged 80-90 in two minutes. Correct, military pushups.

55? i do six sets of 50 every other day and 1,000 one-legged squats on the days in between. every day i do 8 sets of 100 crunches and work a varied routine with dumbells.

edit: oh yeah, i do take sundays off

edit2: and i don't touch the floor with my chest but i get within 2 inches of the floor. touching the floor is resting.

My bro is an exmarine and a perfect pushup is pretty damn hard. Arms square, fingers close together, back flat, you go down slowly and stop when your chin, chest, and stomache all touch the floor, then push back up all the way to the extent. That is a full pushup and they are friggen hard, I'd like to see you do 55 in a row of those. Infact, I'd be rather impressed. A full and correct pushup will work a whole ton of muscles in your upper body, from stomache to back to chest to shoulders to arms.

I personally cannot even do 10 correct pushups in a row.

Well, I'm not sure if those were "perfect" push ups, but then again I am pretty ripped, so I'm sure I can do more push ups than an average male.
