After searching around for a couple coupon codes, I ended up being able to order it for $481.00 shipped! I've been doing lots of research and shopping around for an LCD that will suit my needs as a graphic designer, on top of being a total nerd gamer. My budget couldn't fit some $1500, color-perfect Eizo or NEC monitor, so I had to do with the best of the consumer-level LCDs. This monitor will also be my move from a 19" Dell P991 CRT, so I've understandably been a little apprehensive about the change.

If anybody will find it helpful or interesting, I'll most likely be putting up a small, general review of what I think of it when it comes in. I'll take some pictures too, if there's enough interest. Now, I just have to wait like a kid on the days coming up to Christmas

The 2007WFP is a widescreen monitor: 1680x1050
The 2007FP is 1600x1200

Performance should be a bit better with the widescreen.

I have the same CRT, and I'm also seriously considering this LCD. I'll be very interested in you review and how it compares to your CRT.

My biggest worry is that I will need to upgrade my VC when I get this (if I actually do), which will start to get pretty expensive.

Well, games I play most often would be mostly first-person shooters and the like. HL2 and mods for it, Quake IV, Quake II (yep), Oblivion, etc. Software I work with often is all the InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash 8 - the usual.

And as for the coupons, honestly...just search on Google for "Dell coupons" and the first page of results is full of websites that just give out the coupon codes for free! They're stackable, so make sure you look through them all!

Oh yeah, totally. I'm not worried about that at all -- even if there was to be a problem, I'm in queue for my Step-Up to a 7900GTX 512

Edit: I don't mind lowering settings until I get the new card, even if I get black bars on the sides...heh.

I just ordered one myself for $455 shipped. ( I wanted to wait for the 2407wfp but that is for sure going to cost $800 or more)

Here is a question for you guys.
I have an X1900XTX and I would like to send to separate DVI cables (same signal) out from my video card at different resolutions. (One to an LCD TV and another to the 2007FP). Can I do this?

The TV accepts 1280 X 768 and the 2007FP will use the native 1600X1200
