Also, I love all the Vista bashers out there. Everybody bitchin' and moanin' about how slower it is in games. Funny thing is, people said the EXACT SAME THING when XP came out. "Oh dude, I'm never switchin' to XP... Win98 4-evar!!!!" Yeah right, how long did that last?

um, i just switched to xp 6 months ago. win2000 FTW!!!
i cant speak to the speed of vista, but i dont want to sit through the security holes, patches, patches for the patches, driver updates, patches for the driver updates....
let me know when vista sp1 comes out and ill think about it.

Even if his current budget was unlimited, i wouldnt have vista now for a gaming machine.

I'm not going to sell the card. I'm eventually going to be running 3 monitors (24" LCD + 17" LCD + HDTV) so I'll need 2 cards anyway. The 7600GT will be good enough for me until prices drop on the current G80 series (which should be fairly soon). I didn't want to load up on the video card if it's just going to end up powering my 17" LCD.

And the second Crysis comes out 99% of the people on this board will switch to Vista...

Im still running win2k, actually.

Windows XP was nothing more than a UI skin for 2k with a few updates to the driver suite.

Ill go vista when i need to, which is when DX10 games i want to play are launched, there is no reason to own it until then.

But congratulations, you got aeroglass and a ton of driver issues. Youre right, i dont know why anyone would bash a tard for buying it at launch

Your graphics card purchase makes perfect sense for the setup you are using, although having 3 different sized displays would drive me insane in short order.
