To be fair that was about six months before Weinstein started the current climate regarding this kind of stuff. It is of course entirely possible that Gorsuch had no skeletons, but anyone nominated now better really have none. I tend towards the belief that politics attracts these kinds of people (and let's be honest, by people I mean men), and that the ones who legitimately have nothing like this in their past have no interest in playing this game. Republicans look stuck. Not enough momentum to move forward or to kill the nom yet. Trump wants to come out swinging but it risks likely electoral disaster.
