My girlfriend is the same way. She grips my hand tightly during takeoff and landing, yet we've flown twice this year for vacation. Not sure where republicans thought they were going with that.

I have a moderate fear of flying but it never stops me either. (for whatever reason I'm really good at imagining how only a few feet separates me from a horrifying plunge to my death)

Should the President withdraw the nomination before Kavanaugh speaks, and spare him the questioning? I don't know how much sympathy he can gather under fire from "hysterical liberals" at this point...

1) Kavanaugh backs out on his own.
2) Trump yanks the nomination
3) They take it to vote and basically sign their resignation slips the next election

Is there a 4th? Can the committee remove him from consideration?

They should take it to a vote, it's what the Republican base expects to see and wants. Nothing they do would make you or the Democrats happy except to withdraw his name before a vote. Best case for Republicans is a vote up or down.

Taj I accept the fact that the next Judge will be one that appeases conservatives, it’s just a simple reality. What I don’t like about Kavanaugh is he wants to appease the President, I don’t like his double standard regarding Clinton & impeachment vs current realities.
Today is not the time for Kavanaugh.

As sad as it is to say this is what's needed. People don't really know what goes on in the world. What women have to face. Just because I don't do it doesn't mean I disillusion myself to believe it doesn't happen. It does. A LOT.

So we now have a public official on the record stating his intent to make false accusations against future federal officials. I hope he is referred to the Senate ethics panel immediately for sanction. I also suspect that this could violate federal law so an investigation of that is appropriate.

He turned exactly after McCain died.

I keep telling myself the lindsey has done a 180 to curry favor with trump so that he will replace sessions where he will avenge McCain's death and see to it personally that trump gets taken down.
