I'll wait until there is an OpenBSD port before I try it (aka bump).

I'll wait till KDE 3.2 is a part of Debian stable. (aka bump bump)

Bleh! Cowards!

On a more serious note, for anyone using KDE on a daily basis, trust me, the upgrade is well worth it, 3.1 -> 3.2 is a huge upgrade.

Have they managed to get non-anti-aliased fonts looking anywhere near as good as Windows yet?

(no, that is not intended to be flame-bait. I really do live in hope that one day fonts will look as good on Linux).

KDE uses whatever fonts are on your machine, so no, unless you use windows fonts.

This has more to do with Freetype.

newb question, is upgrading as easy as getting rpm and installing, and all is good. please say yes

If not, would someone have a link on how to update it, and maybe some pointers on what to back up in case I toast it all.

RPM has an upgrade flag. It *should* be as simple as that

My only X machine is awfully slow. So I'll wait for binaries
