Hello,

The last 3 days my new machine has started to BSOD when I wake it up in the morning.

Quick Specs:
Corsiar 850TX PSU
Asus P8P67 Pro
2500k
8gb DDR3 1600 Corsair Vengeance
Galaxy GTX460 768mb
WD Black 640gb
WD Black 500gb

Nothing, I repeat nothing is overclocked.

This started happening a few days ago. When I first built the system I was having BSOD from sleep but it was a user error not setting the Motherboard to X.M.P. RAM profile. All was running well for a couple weeks then I start getting this error.

Windows has a link on there that says "Event log online help". I hit that and it brought me to MS Technet which told me it was a power failure where the computer wasn't properly shut down either buy the power button being held in for four seconds, sudden reset etc..

Well, I am not to sure I understand why it is trying to shut itself down when all I am doing is letting it sleep at night. I am not able to reproduce this error during the day and have run all diagnostics for CPU/Memory/GPU etc.. Everything is nominal.

Hope someone can shed some light!

Try disabling the sleep/hibernation feature. Then, either leave it on all night...or try turning it off at night then back on in the morning. See if that eliminates the error. If so, it could be something in the settings that's causing it to shut down unexpectedly.

Ok great, I'll give it a go tonight.

When you say settings, what are you referring to?

Thanks much.

there's stuff in windows... Hibernation and STANDBY, that you can disable... so it's always on, to rule that out....

then there are setting in the bios as well.... different power states that kick in.. usually called S1&S3, sometimes c3/c6 on some new boards, like asus.. Try disabling those to see if that's triggering the problem..... If so, there may be a bios update to address that issue...

Also.. doublecheck the label on your ram,, and make sure the ram voltage is set to run at that voltage.. Sometimes the auto settings on a board will undervolt the memory.....
