Hillary in '08!!!!!!!!!!!

LOL, sorry to see Kerry lose, but oh well. I'll live. I didn't think that this country was going to change much one way or the other anyway. It would be interesting to see who the Dems put on the ticket for '08 though. They have been beaten into submission this election, Kerry has to go back to the Senate a defeated man (I couldn't bear walking onto the Senate floor the first time after this), Edwards is out of a job (and now has seen his seat go to a Republican after Bowles gets his ass kicked a second straight time...the first time by a woman who has enough pen marks on her back to to keep BIC in business).

This will be an interesting 4 years.

The ice queen will be on the ticket in 08. Wich again would make for a hard choice in who to chose. The republicans would need someone strong to beat her. though i did think Bill was a good presidant. I just lost faith in his lies under oath. NO presidant should be in charge after that. Yes i know you can claim Bush lied about the war (wich is why i didnt vote for him) but I feel it was more of bad advice. But he still takes the blaim.

I cant clearly confirm that he lied about WMD's but I think it is rediculous for a president who keeps releasing propoganda about how we need to pay more attention to our intelligence to say that the intelligence report on the near future of Iraq/Afghan democracy are just "guesses" and that the future is going smoothly for these countries when we are so far behind in each of them.

He did lie outright in the debate though. He claimed that he never said that he didnt care where Bin Laden was and that he didnt know where Kerry was getting that from. NPR played a clip of him being asked where Bin Laden might be and you hear him say almost word for word that he doesnt care where Bin Laden is. This is all only weeks after he said capturing Bin Laden was his highest priority. Talk about a flip flop!
Well when you have people writing what you say, it's kinda hard to keep track where you stand.

Yeah, does this mean all those votes are not counted? That's pretty fvcked up.

They should have ensured their eligability and found their precient for voting in the first place. Not saying that all of them shouldn't be counted, but rules are rules. It's doubtful that Kerry could have pulled out the difference from those votes, anyhow.

So the people in Ohio that waited in line 9 hours to vote shouldn't have those votes count since they didn't get to actually vote until 3:30am. That is absurd. The votes should be counted. It may not make a difference in the outcome, but at least people will be encouraged that their vote was counted.
All votes will be counted. Just because the votes that were cast last won't tip the scale doesn't mean they won't get counted. The state's representative (I think this is the general attorney) will only sign off on the results making it final until after all votes are counted.

The issue is that the majority of votes not being counted are from people who showed up at either the wrong precient or without being registered to vote. They were given ballots just because the lines were so long and the people working the polls don't have the power to say no to them. There would be a manditory 10 day wait to decide how the ballots would be handled (would they be inelligble for not registering, would they be elligible despite going to the wrong place?) and likely a large number of ballots would NOT be counted because they were not properly placed ballots.

The people who waited in line 9 hours HAVE been counted.

Great. Can we change his title to 'King of the Idiots'?

I'm assuming you voted for Kerry?

Isn't it great to see our votes not meaning a damn thing?. Not that I expected it to turn out any different.

GJ, Kerry. Nice to see such a graceful concession -- shows something our government has not had in a long time : class.

Any clue on if he has plans to run in 08?

Congratulations to Mr. Bush: Don't let us down in your promises. Do your country proud and turn it around. Restore it's honorable international status, help your fellow citizens get the jobs that have been lost, try not to burden our children and your children with an incredible deficit and debt.

I wish he hadn't conceded....

No. I don't vote. In Utah, what's the point? I was watching the news and they had already given Bush the state before the freakin' polls had even closed! :disgust:

The only thing that tempted me to actually vote was the Prop3 - Banning of Gay Marriage. In the end, though, it still got soundly trounced by the closed-minded assclowns that live here.

Lets forcefully take over Antelope Island and secede from the state! Maybe they'll let the buffalo vote in 08.

COULD Hillary win in '08???? I'm not that familiar with her voting record or policy views in relation to Kerry, but my guess would be that she leans a little more to the center.

But I don't think that America seems to be ready for a female President. It would be nice though.

there IS no where to go! we stayed at the marriot. we went out saturday night and sunday night, and each night the first place we went to had a cover, and before we paid for the cover we were told the places were havnig GAY NIGHT that night, by the cashiers, so we gladly left. then we went to another place and found out they stop serving alcohol at like 1, which is ridiculous!

we heard from a local that the place is 75% mormon. we figured the other 25% are homosexuals.

the next night i forget the name of the first place we went, but it ended up being gay night there too. then we went to Pool Junkies, i think that was the name.

all in all its just a dead city as far as night life, which is what we were looking for at that time.

As I recall, the popular vote doesn't determine the winner. Bush didn't ask for a recount THE STATE OF FLORIDA DID.
"Florida state law provided for an automatic recount due to the small margins. There were general concerns about the fairness and accuracy of the voting process, especially since a small change in the vote count could change the result. The final (and disputed) official Florida count gave the victory to Bush by 537 votes, making it the tightest race of the campaign (at least in percentage terms; New Mexico was decided by 363 votes but has a much smaller population, meaning those 363 votes represent a 0.061% difference while the 537 votes in Florida are just 0.009%).

Quit re-writting history to make yourself feel warm and fuzzy inside.

All of you just shut the fsck up.

lol

Congrats Bush, you won again. The people have spoken. Here's to another 4 years.

Just knowing that half the population is against him is good enough for me. I guess this is why we have a maximum of 8 years in office.

The real question is, who the fsck are we going to vote for in 2008? :Q

You replied.

Meaning you think Bush should have given up because "declarations said Gore," well, what about counting every vote? When every vote was counted Bush won.

This is y threads like this are in P&N. No matter what you say there will be someone that will step up and say the exact opposite. If you want to dispute what the OP was about feel free. I'll let you have your opinion, that's the beauty of this country. This thread has taken a vicious turn since everyone is taking the election so personally. I believe in the country and the process, if not the people we choose to place in power. I'll stand behind a final result, but I'm not going to continue a pointless discussion.

Hillary. She's just as polarizing to the Republicans as Bush is to the Democrats.

Truth be told, I don't think that Republicans hate Kerry NEARLY as much as they hate Hillary. She's far more of a polarizing figure...just as Bush is.
