keyboard, mouse never goes off!!!!!

i gt a strange problem......everytime after i switch off my system.......my optical mouse and keyboard both appear to be still on!!>..........i turned off wakeup options in bios..........everything else is off.........motherboard has lgreen led ...which stays on......is it normal???.because my other systems don't show such behaviour

It sounds like you have it going into standby or sleep rather than shutting off.

actually no.................processor fans and all the other components are switched off.............and if it was in standby mode then it should have shown like " windows is going to stand by mode" or something like that

I just put my computer in standby. The PS fan is off. The CPU fan is off. The chassis fan is off. The motherboard LED is on, the diagnostic lights are on. The numlock light is on.

A bump of the space bar brings everything back to life.
