Keyboard problem

I have a machine that the key pad on the keyboard will not work. The number lock light comes on but still no work. Plugged in a new keyboard and still the same. Win 98se Sure need some advice on this one.

I had that same problem about a year ago. Turned out to be a bad keyboard port on the mb.

OH MY! I sure hope not. It looks like maybe a usb or serial keyboard may be in order.
