These are the facts as I see them. The source of violence and hatred to others is a learned behavior created by being tortured with put downs and physical violence as a child. For some the experience is so bad that the only way to get even for living with such massive self hatred is to get even by proving to one’s tormentors how right they were.

So instead of simply feeling all that self loathing hatred unconsciously and having it leak out, as in your case, by a need to hurt people who hurt others, or by building a better more tolerant and rational self on top of the wreckage by redirecting that urge to get even, they choose to act out.

The problem, of course, is that while we are all infected with the disease of self hate, having bought into the lies we were told, a line is crossed when the sickest among us act out physically in the real world.

Such people need to be prevented from further acting out and for as long a time as they would continue such actions if freed. That is all.

Your sick need to express your hatred for people who had it so bad there ‘souls’ were destroyed is simple a moderated form of the same sickness they have, one you are entitled to have so long as you yourself do not act our. You have a right to be sick too since your past determined you had to be that way.

But you waste your life trying to punish others for a disease you acquired a long time ago and are pretty much stuck with since you are so proud of the arrogance you have that allows you never to listen to what others can easily see as your illness.

This is a seriously idiotic take. You act as if their parents were raising them saying "remember, it's ok to run over people on bikes if you think it'll be fun". I may be in my 40's but I still remember what it's like to be a teenager. You don't want to listen to your parents, you want to impress your peers, you want to have a thrill. And I didn't grow up with the ability to go viral for being a stupid jackass.

Well, yes-and-no. Parents are part of the equation, but are by no means the only formative influence. There's the wider culture as well. Their peers and the media.

If someone wants to argue the parents should be 'executed' for this, then by extension there's an argument that the entire population of the US should be executed, as you're all part of the culture that produced these two.

There's also the simple, practical issue of the extent to which people - especially young, immature, people - have the opportunity to do such things. Just as with guns, a certain proportion of people are always going to be stupid or malevolent, but how much damage they end up doing depends on what weapons are available to them. Keep cars and cyclists (and pedestrians) physically separated [and keep the number of cars in existance to a minimum], and the opportunity for people to do this won't arise.

In the movie The Dark Knight Rises when Bane uses explosives to trap almost every police officer underground the reference 3000 police officers being trapped. At another part of the movie they call Gotham a city of 12 million people. So 1 officer per about every 4000 inhabitants.
New York City's population is 8.468 million as of 2021 and their police force as of September 2023 is 33,757, or one officer per every 250 people.

So, to get to my point. I'm proposing an alternative to more police. More billionaires in bat costumes running around the streets.

If they are as good at that as they are at running social media sites, expect crime rates to increase dramatically.

I know that you do. Your points of view, as I said, are quite ordinary. One can take the temperature of a room and go along with it like a conformist, or see it as shallow and mundane.

Furthermore, dealing with aberrant parents who would inflict their sick children irresponsibly on the public, fall into the category of people acting out that require being stopped.

The issue is not that people need to be held accountable, it is that your notions of what being held accountable is are insane. You need to be held accountable for that and here I am.
