I recently bought a multifunction panel for controlling/monitoring temps and fan speeds and all that jazz. So it's got a lot of wires as you could imagine, or already know, and I decided to just go ahead and reconfigure the wires in my case along with installing this control panel and I'm not sure what some of the plugs are.

So you know those tiny, one prong, black plugs that you have for the front panel of your PC and for USB and all that? Well I have quite a few of those left over from the front of my case and have quite a few new ones for the new multifunction panel, but I'm not sure what some or them are. The ones I'm unsure of are VCC, +/- D, TPA -/+, TPB -/+, VG, VP. Any help or suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks,
Ian

Well I got it all installed, and just didn't use some of the plugs, but I'm still curious as to what those are.

VCC is a USB pinout label for power (usually plus data and minus data.) D+ and D- are used to signal data on the USB bus. TPA- is a firewire label for transmitting data I think.

Every Multi-panel display is different. How about filling us in on a make and model or should we use our psychic skills and freak you and the rest of the readers out by knowing what your talking about? Upload some pic's to photobucket.com too and post the link here. Things and stuff are not very good discriptive adjectives, and "you know" isn't any help either as we don't know, most parts in a computer are tiny.

Frintin basicly spelled it out for you do a google search for: usb header pinout. Also do a search for: 1394 header pinout. If you have audio jacks on the panel then do a search for: audio header pinout.
Most display panels have temp monitors it would have a two wire plug for each temp probe.

Yea, sorry, I should have put the details of the display. But hey, AstroDogg (with two "d's" like Snoop, because he's cool like that), thanks for at least being cool and mature about asking me for these things and stuff, ya know? Because I was pretty sure every single multifunction panel ever made was exactly the same...guess I was wrong. P.S. "Descriptive adjectives" is redundant, good try though.

It's an AeroCool PowerWatch.

Atleast you now see the folly in your ways. Glad I could assist you.

"Discriptive Adjectives" isn't redundant as it is used in a teaching method for the partially illiterate. It may not be proper, but it is not redundant. What? Did you pick that up off your very first google search?

I don't think you need anymore help. Whats been written is more than enough to put you on the path of learning. Knowledge after all is a trait. Maybe you should pay someone that knows what they are doing next time, because they know how to use a google search page! or you can insult the people that help you in a forum and see how far it gets you.

Besides why are you threading front panel hook-up how-to's in the motherboard section?

The punks never respect the teacher until 25years have gone by and they relize everyone was right: "YOU ARE JUST A LOSER".

P.S. Do I seem like I'm trying to be a black Hollywood puppet from the streets to you? Snoop would probley bytch-slap a person such as yourself if you ever really met him. I suppose you know what he's like off camera and can truly say he is cool or do you always buy-the-hype. I'm sure your to young and/or to narrow to even know who Astro is and it's not spelled with two d's.

Haha, wow. That pretty much sums it up.

Well first off, that's the second time you've spelled "descriptive" wrong. Firefox 2 would've let you know that since you obviously don't know how to spell it...but you're probably using some really cool browser like Internet Exploder.

You're right, I don't need anymore help, as I've already stated a few posts back, "I got it installed" already. And if I did want help, I sure wouldn't want it from you, so don't fret.

I threaded it in the motherboard section because you hook it up to the system board. I guess it could've gone in cases too, but oh well.

I assume you are a teacher of some sort? I sure hope you're not....and I could venture a guess that you're not an English or spelling teacher. And I love when people can't debate well, so they resort to name-calling. It really shows your maturity.

P.S. You completely misunderstood the part about Snoop, but it made for a good laugh, thanks. (Are you racist?) I was calling you "cool like that", not Snoop. I don't know Snoop, act like I do, or care to know him. And I don't "buy hype". Actually a quick look at your alias will prove that you did indeed spell it with two d's. See? A-s-t-r-o-D-o-g-g.

Well since I bumped the close application buttom on my mouse and your not worth re-writting the reply. Let me say in short enjoy checking all the spelling errors and typo's in the forums and figure out yourself the meaning of my user name. Also check out the grammer of your own posts before criticizing someone elses. Because you using something that doesn't fuction properly doesnt mean you have installed it.

Actually it does function properly, I clearly stated that I'm now just curious...I guess your psychic powers don't work that well after all. Glad you're finished. Thanks for posting.
