Why would it? If Amazon can track what you do on the Kindle Fire HD, they can just as easily track what you do with the Kindle App on a Nexus, no?
Yeah, your ebook reading gets tracked regardless of what device you are on. And I don't think this is a bad thing. Obviously they want to know where you stopped reading so your progress can be synced with other Kindle readers. They know what you searched for and looked at because they use it as part of their recommendations. This is pretty normal, Google does it even more.
