Kingston usb flash drive issue

Ok, I wouldn't open this thread if I had some simple solution.
So please don't type things about changing drive letter, disable/enable, uninstall/install it and similar to that, trust me, I tried everything, and I mean everything.

It's Kingston's DataTraveler 102 (8Gb) flash disk.
After plugging it, Windows normally install driver and tells me it's ready to use, but he isn't visible in MyComputer. Device manager can see it, it works "properly", but he just can't show up unless I turn on hidden files and folders. Here is what I get then:

So, now I can see it but disk isn't accessible.

Did anyone had similar problem? Cause I don't know what to do..

Checked in Disk Management, what the filesystem type is? Windows might not be recognizing the filesystem correctly. You might need to run some recovery software to get your data off of the drive, and then do a complete LLF/wipe, with something like vconsole.com 's USB flash drive tester tool.

Nothing important on disk, but anyway, I'd like to make it work again.
I tried LLF too, creating backup, deleting levels from registry but still nothing...maybe with some program it will work, I'll try that..

Check it out at Disk Management:

How odd.

I would run Gparted on it and delete all the partitions and anything on the USB stick until its one single unallocated space (RAW).

Reboot Gparted but remove the stick before hitting enter and restarting.

Once back in Windows insert the stick and disk initialisation may appear. If it does follow the steps to make a new partition with your chosen file system. With Windows re-initialising the disk and may allocate it correctly this time.

If Windows disk initialisation doesn't pop up, go into disk management and make a new partition on it that way.

If that doesn't work then I have no idea.

I didn't see anything like this before, it's odd for me too...I'll try solutions tommorow cause I'm not at home right now...keep in touch
And corrupted, no, I think not. I can get in by right click and open it as a portable device. But when I try to copy anything on it, it says that it can't be found. Like it's missing/not there, dunno.

Tried vconsole's USB flash drive tester tool and Gparted but they don't see the drive. I still have no idea what is going on here..

Eh, I think it will be hammer time

Try another computer to rule out your OS environment before condemning the flash drive? If the same thing happens on a PC that has never seen that device before, you know without a doubt.

Use a tool to format bootable thumb drives and see if it recognizes it and does anything to it.

Try legacy USB support "on" in bios and see if that does anything.

Or throw it away and buy a new one for $2. Anything under 16GB in a thumb drive is pretty much free these days and not worth shipping costs for RMA.
