I just bought the first about a week ago. Great game, the characters handle a lot better than in NWN. The Inventory sucks, though.

damn their strategy, I'll end up getting both just like last time... ugh... thankfully the PC version tends to be cheaper/go on sale/drop in price MUCH faster than their console counterparts

Not bashing you or the Xbox - just want to see how many of these I can get.

1) The subsequent reviews since the advance copies were sent out seem to be scoring it lower as the hype wears off. It appears Petey promised more than he can offer, or, at least, embelleshed on current features.

Obsidian is made up of Black Isle members, most of whom worked on Planescape and the Fallout series.

Planescape and Fallout > anything Bioware has ever done, even BG, in my opinion.

1) I agree, the game should have been released last year or at least a lot early this year if it was to be any good, Halo 2 will quickly steal back any thunder left over from this game

3) Co-op is incredibly fun, so is multiplayer (although I've seen the light with Tribes and the multiplayer is lame to me compared to the co-op), there's no reason Halo 2 should be any worse

4) He means adding in a larger HDD so you can conveniently store all your games on the HD and eliminate disc swapping and reduce loading times (plus there's the added bonus of easy piracy :roll: That and a console for someone who doens't have $2000 to throw into a computer in order to actually get 1600x1200 6xAA 16xAF is a mighty tempting alternative

5) Yeah but PCs are different, because his friend have XBoxes they can share each others games and all go over to each others places and have 4 player multiplayer sessions or stay in and do it over the net or have a LAN.

6) I also thought the PC version was better but the XBox version did not dissapoint either, he could even rent it and "keep it" on his modded box if he wanted to, just as you could probably download the game for when it comes out to PC, yeah you're right, he might as well download it, it'll save him the $5 it would take to rent :roll:


Oh and a 7th reason to have an XBox - Conker: Live and Reloaded, touted as one of the best looking games for the XBox, it should be exclusive as well as one of the most enjoyable platform games for any of the consoles to date, not to mention the multiplayer looks interesting as well.

So wait, 4 video games, peer pressure and your urge to mod everything including the refrigerator?

Honestly, I've held off getting an Xbox at this point and this won't make me get it either. Halo 2 and Kotor 2 will both most likely come to pc. Then the question is whether they will ever send Fable our way.

PS. That 2 month wait on Kotor2 is fine by me, I'm going to have a plethora of games to play by December (aw yea, I used an sat word).

Can't wait for this game to come out. I was trying to prolong Half Life 2 as much as I could playing only half an hour a day, until this game came out. I passed it last night though. Dec 6th hurry up already.

Completly agree, I bought the first one a month ago and it was a blast, but the inventory management was dreadfull.

Whil I disagree that Planescape/Fallout were better than Bioware's work (i'd call them equal. Neverwinter Nights had me make in my pants), I will agree that there is little reason to be worried. Obsidian has the chops to produce a worthy sequel.

I (well, my brother, actually.. ) do own an X-Box, but personally, I prefer the PC several times over for certain types of games (FPSes, etc).

Uh, why? Just use your PC.

Actually a modded XBox is pretty decent, I use a friend's to watch HDTV rips all the time with XBox Media Center. Also you can play XBox games directly from the hard disk for virtually no load times.

Obviously I wouldn't say it's better than a PC (one running Linux anyway), but if you're gonna get an XBox anyway you might as well splurge and get a modded one, just be carefull if you get an XBox Live account...

? I cannot understand the appeal halo had. I have only played the pc version and am going out on a limb :roll: and guessing at 1600x1200x32 with 4xaa it looked better on my pc than the xbox, but still looked like crap. The game sucked ass. Much like Halo 2. I think the only reason it is so popular, is because most games on xbox suck ass, I guess I am spoilt from high-end pc graphics and such wide available areas of multiplayer on pc games. xbox had halo .... halo is lame. rofl.
