KT7A bios upgrade questions

I have the Abit KT7a Raid MOBO, and everything is working fine. I however was thinking of upgrading the BIOS (if it would improve performance). Has anyone upgraded their Bios for this board? If so what did you see happen. Was it worth it or not?

things can go wrong when updating a bios, can totally screw your board. its a pretty good idea not to flash new bios unless yours is having problems, or the new bios version has some new options that are important to you.

Boonesmi is correct that is something to consider. But the biggest fix of all is the 686 southbridge problem AKA Soundblaster fix. This would be still in beta but if you are not seeing a problem then maby you should leave well enough alone.

I am actually using the latest bios (ZTB01+. 686B fix but adds these as options to Advanced Chipset Features with embedded Highpoint 1.1.0b BIOS.) I downloaded it from via hardware. The bios has been fine and haven't had any crashes... but you never know. I would wait for the official release I guess... unless you really have problems.
