KT7A-Raid and drive letters?

I got the system up and running and the only thing that I have left to do is connect the CD-RW and Zip 250. I was curious as to which drive letters will be assigned to which IDE controller. Is IDE1 master letter D: and slave E: followed by IDE2 with master F: and slave G: My hard drive is on the raid controller and already has it's letter. Hope you guys can answer my question. Thanks.

I got a t-bird 1.2Ghz and it came unlocked.

I'm wondering this myself... I currently just moved my drives over from my old machine in the same configuration, so of course everything stayed the same. I'm pretty sure the order is:

IDE1 Master: C
IDE2 Master: D
IDE1 Slave : E
IDE2 Slave : F

But, what happens when I finally turn my current D&E drives into a RAID? So I will have (RAID) and then my used-to-be C drive and my CD-Rom(currently F)...

It would be great if RAID was C (since I do plan to move my operating system onto the RAID), and then everything else was incremented in the "standard" way, like I listed above, but everything bumped up by a letter.

Just wanted to provide a little more information now that I have my RAID up and running (and my system is FAST now!!!)

8gig drive set to master on IDE1
CDRW drive set to master on IDE2
30gig drive set to master on IDE3
30gig drive set to master on IDE4
Zip drive running on my ISA SCSI card

When I first set up the RAID my 8gig drive was still showing as drive C and the RAID was D... then I copied everything over to the RAID, set it to be the first boot device and now my RAID is drive C and the 8gig is drive D Then I set my CDRW and Zip to use the same drive letters they were using before so I don't have to hack the registry for them (although I do need to hack it for all those things I moved over from the used-to-be D and E drives, onto the new C)

As some additional information, the RAID drives I'm running are IBM Deskstar 75GXP 30gig ATA100 7200RPM... independently they'd get a Sandra benchmark of around 23,750... when in the RAID I get about 44,000

There's just something really nice about double-clicking on an icon and the program basically instantly coming up! Sandra used to take a good 3-5 seconds to load... now that I'm on the RAID, I click and it's loaded immediately!
