After flashing a bios, you had to go to the cmos and reenable the HDD detection.(change it from none to auto for ide channels.) Only the master on ide 1 is enabled by default.
It took me two or three time to get my abit kt7a-raid bios to notice my harddrives right, just keep setting HDD detection to auto and rebooting, if that doesn't work try manually defining your harddrives.
Well here is an update::
after going crazy with the drives and trying everything known to me. I had a last ditch Idea of changing the jumpers on the drives. you see It would not rec the drives as anything other than slaves no matter what I did so I tryied cable select and whoa!!!!! they worked
just thought I would share a verry frustrating 3 days LOL
