Lan driver for a7n8x deluxe

Hello,

Does anyone know which driver/s I need for the onboard lan ports on my mb...

I checked Asus.com and there are a number of lan drivers listed but I don't know which one to download.

Sorry guys....I just wan't looking in the right place. In case anyone else needs to know, file is 3com_90xv54.zip at Asus.

Why aren't u using the Nvidia lan instead of the 3Com???

I have my 3com lan disabled and am currently using the Nivida lan.

currently I'm not using either but I want to...using a card right now as I've not been able to get either onboard ones to work...

I am open to using which ever one "works best" (3com or Nvidia)

I'm really just trying to get one to work at all. What driver did you install? I have misplaced my asus cd, so I'm searching for the correct drivers.

Any help will be appreciated.

The nForce drivers to get your nVidia LAN working.

You need to use that 3Com file to get your 3Com working.

I doubt you'd notice any speed differences between the 2 LANs ports. The nVidia one is known to have lower CPU utilization.

Also, I recommend against using the nForce drivers directly from nVidia. Asus uses a custom MCP-T chip and there are some things, notably the sound, that seems to mess up using the drivers from nVidia. So use the nForce drivers from Asus.

I'm currently using the Nvidia Nforce drives with my Nvidia Lan and onboard sound without any problems.

Haven't tried to use the Asus Nforce drivers.
