Ok, so here's the deal. I've been using Thinkpads for some time now, I've come to love the red trackpoint mouse and cannot use the touchpads that most other laptops have only.

Now, as much as I like thinkpads, they just don't have some of the features that I'm looking for in a newer laptop (good graphics, widescreen...). So what I'm asking is what laptops are out there (brands and/or models) that have the rare trackpoint?

In addition to the thinkpads, I believe that the Dell Latitude series notebooks and some HP business notebooks also have the trackpoint. Are there any others??

Thanks.

Dell is the only one I can think of off the top of my head. The only thing about dell is, they put the trackpoint and the touchpad on. You can turn it off, but it is still kind of a pain. I checked out the alienware site, but they seem to only have the touchpads on theirs.

When you do a Google on the subject, keep in mind that "Trackpoint" is an IBM term and is copyrighted. Other computers using the same type of pointing device generically refer to is as a "pointing stick." Some Compaq and Toshiba models and WinBook models use them.

BTW - I find them much superior and more accurate than touchpads. Touchpads get in the way and cause pointer errors when typing and one's wrist brushes over the silly thing.
