Some friends and I have started planning a Las Vegas trip. We would like to stay for 3 nights (either Thurs-Sat or Fri-Sun) in late May or early June.

I've been 3 times in the past, staying at MGM twice, and Mirage once. This will be the first time going with friends though, and from what I've read, Planet Hollywood sounds like the best spot for us, considering the party mood and location. We are all in our mid-20s.

I've found some decent flights for around $425 (depart sea at 11:20, arrive at 1:40 / depart las at 3:25, arrive at 7:30). I'm not finding many hotel deals, though.

Anyone have any good advice for where or how to find a good deal on a hotel room? Or any other advice?

Deals on hotel rooms are hard to come by in the summer months. I don't know what PH's pool is like, but during the summer MGM and Mandalay Bay are lots of fun. Hard Rock is a good place too, but shitty location.

Yes they are more expensive in the summer months but with the economy, even during peak time it's still cheaper than it has been in years.

Should I just be doing Expedia and the like, or are there good sites with promotions that I'm not seeing?

I usually just sign up for email promotions. I get deals and codes ranging from 30-60% off.

Wife and I will be there for week in June as well. We are staying at the Wynn and the rate was quite attractive, as they offered us a special deal for a return visit.

Can't wait to catch some sun, see a show or two and visit a few fine restaurants.

The Wynn Resort in Las Vegas cut prices on select rooms. Rates vary, with weekday prices starting at $139 per night. Plus, stay between June 1 and June 30 to get two meals at The Buffet for free. That beats our mention from March (which didn't include the $100 credit) and is one of the lowest rates we've seen from this hotel since last October. Deal ends June 30. The rates continue through July 31 but don't include the free meals.

The Wynn deal is really good, but we want to be somewhere with more of a party atmosphere.

Good to know, I'll start looking at Mandalay too. Wasn't looking at Palms or Hard Rock since they aren't on the strip.

I know they have some of the worst locations, but really Palms, Mandalay and Hard Rock are your best bets if you want a party atmosphere. It's not like you can't just grab a cab. Mandalay probably has the best overall selection of restaurants too.

I think Palms is the definition of party atmosphere everytime I step into the place.

You can't go wrong unless you pick a smaller resort. I usually stay at one of the cheaper on the strip hotels. Just gimme a place to sleep and i'm good to go. Otherwise, i'm gambling, going to shows or eating up and down the strip.

PH is awesome, i liked staying there. I like the pole dancers on the card tables.

Check out Alaska Airlines Vacations (on Alaska website).

My friend & I booked M-Thu for $386US out of Bellingham staying at Venetian last year late July early August.

Cheers,

Oh shit I forgot about Cosmo. That's definitely a good party atmosphere place and ideally located.
