Well, it seems I've joined that exclusive club that no one wants to belong to. I've been diagnosed with renal cancer with a side of brain cancer. I'll be having surgery and on going treatment probably at the Mayo in Minnesota. Not feeling bad and no related aches and pains yet but, it's quite a load to process. People have already stepped up to give us a place to stay while at the Mayo. Good people. Welcome to being mortal.

Well, it turns out the urologist in grand forks botched the referal to the Mayo but, we got it back on track and should hear something tomorrow about a scheduled consult. Still feeling fine and working. Yay me!

I see the doc at the Mayo on Monday. Hopefully I'll get some direction and a plan in place. It's about 6 and a half hours drive but, we'll stay over at a friend's house who lives closer so we don't have to do it in a straight shot.
