Brock's still going to dominate though.

i hate brock too but i doubt carwin is going to be the guy to expose his standup. its gonna have to be someone else i thinks.

brock vs carwin is gonna turn into a wrestling match. sadly, brock will probably win. i wonder if he'll continue to be a douche after the fight or if hes developed any class. or maybe he'll just try to fake some class.

seeing as frank mir was talking a ton of trash before the fight, it's not surprising that Lesnar trashed him on TV after a dominating performance

I believe you can talk all the trash you want before the fight. Then you fight and leave it all in the ring. After that, have some damn class. Brock hasn't shown any class.

"I think I might even climb on my wife tonight!"

He's a tool, plain and simple.

I still don't buy that it was genuine. I think he spent so much time cultivating and acting as, his rasslin' character, that he just falls into it very easily. Again expect a very different Brock after this fight, win or lose. He isn't going to cross White, as I am certain he has been told in no uncertain terms, that he will be sent packing back to rasslin' if he blows it again.

After losing all respect for Fedor, this will be the heavyweight fight I want to see.

All the brock-hate is playing right into his hands. Being the "bad boy" is the same thing that got Tito recognized.

How did you lose respect for Fedor... dumbest statement all day. why because he won't join UFC and fight under Dana's rules? Fedor is the best heavyweight to walk the earth.. his one loss was to a technicality.

he put his finances over his legacy. this is what makes people lose respect for him.

Um...that had nothing to do with it. I'm pretty sure the fat contract Dana White threw on his lap was as much as Strikeforce was offering. Who has the deeper pockets?

web site blocked as "violence".

it's gonna take some expert striking and heavy hands to take down brock. anderson silva just needs to put on 50 pounds.

So then why did he go to Strikeforce? He certainly wasn't motivated by the competition he's going to find there.

....wow research people, wikipedia has all the information.

Fedor wants to compete in other sports such as combat sambo. Dana wants him to be MMA only. Plus his manager's dictate what he does. fedor i think does what they tell him.

Dana white would shower this man in money

Actually Zuffa budged on the Combat Sambo thing, and it was reported offered Fedor 4-6 MILLION per fight. Fedor's management turned down UFC because UFC wouldn't accept other crappy M-1 Fighters, and cross promote with an organization that basically has one worthy fighter (Fedor) and they wanted UFC to give M-1 a retardly large chunk of the PPV revenue.

UFC bent backwards to try and get Fedor in UFC, but his management sucks. After Dana told him he could do his little Sambo tourney every year. That should have sealed the deal.

Fedor is owned by M1 and they decide where he fights, but they were too greedy, that is why he is not in the UFC. Once Fedor's contract is up with M1, things could change.

Looked fine at the Vikings game a week ago. Ohh well, we'll see him laying on top of another guy sooner or later.

WOW Brock must be sick as a dog to pull out of a fight. He's not the type to shy away from a challenge. REALLY sucks, I wanted to see him beat Carwins ass. Shane has been talking so much shit about Brock lately. Hopefully he'll get better soon and the fight won't be postponed too long.

^ exactly how i feel. ortiz/griffin as a main event?!? id have more fun watching splattered paint dry. griffin has been knocked out twice and barely beat out rampage in a decision his past 3 fights. ortiz hasnt won a fight since he beat shamrock in 2006. im planning to be in vegas too during this event, guess i can leave wherever im watching the fight at after the parisyan/hazelett fight.

edit: i wouldnt mind if white got big nog to take on carwin on short notice. or (and more unlikely) but lift dos santos from his fight against gonzaga and put him in there.

edit2:

works for me! ill be in vegas for new years also.

he was actually supposed to fight vitor belfort at ufc 108 (which would make it a monster card) but word is that silva and his manager dont think belfort is deserving of a title shot quite yet and hasnt signed off on the fight (plus he just had minor elbow surgery). so i guess its more likely he'll wait out the winner of the marquardt/henderson match (if that fight ever happens since hendo and ufc cant agree on a contract). if shogun won he possibly could've contended for the light-heavy belt also, but since machida won and he said he would never fight him i dont see that happening any time soon.
