LG L227WTG-PF anyone?

anyone had any experiences with this monitor? It's around $300 at futureshop/bestbuy and looks pretty good.

I would like to know as well since my monitor is near death and I will unfortunately have to pick up an LCD since CRT's are dead

I own L227WT-PF and love it. Haven't done side-by-side comparisons with other LCD's though, except my old Samsung 172X.

Are viewing angles truly a problem? does the contrast issue/color banding problem bother you? do you normally tweak monitor settings or are you an out of the box kind of guy?

What contrast/color banding problem are you talking about? The image quality is good, but like I said, I don't have other new LCD's to compare it to. Viewing angles are good enough for a PC monitor, it's not a TV after all. I lowered some settings such as brightness from the factory defaults and left the rest as is.

Supposedly there is an issue where the colors are very washed out if you deviate from ~ 70 contrast.

This lcd has been getting really bad professional reviews. Check out digitalversus for more info. Apparently the high color gamut oversaturates everything and is uncorrectable kind of like what happened with the Samsung 226CW.

I have it and love it. The only professional review I go by is ME I had to lower the brightness to 80 but that was it. View angles are ok, no backlight bleed on mine and colors look great. And for gaming, well zero input lag and every game I pllay is totally smooth.

I decided to pick one of these up and give it a go.

I was suprised that it didn't come with a DVI cable. Only a VGA.

Anyone get one with their monitor ?
