Lian Li Durability?

How scratch resistent is the brushed aluminum? Also how strong is the case, is it prone to bending?

Al is a very soft metal, so they tend to get scratch easily. Treat it like your car's paint.
As far as how strong is the case, I can't really tell you.
I have stand on Cooler master's case (I weigh 145lbs) and there was no bending, squeaking on the chassis.
I am sure you will not put that kind of weight on your case.

Lian Li uses forged aluminum so they dont bend easily.

However they do scratch just like any other steel cases.

I treat mine like a baby.

I've seen other aluminum cases like skyhawk where the panels felt like piece of aluminum foils.

Lian Li's are mouch stronger than those.

I have both a Lian-Li PC-60 and a Skyhawk.

How strong does your case need to be?
The Lian-Li is indeed built like a cadillac.
I was particularly concerned with scratching of my drives after I painted them silver, but even this has not been a problem.
I've had it for about a year and ahalf now. You can view it here.

The Skyhawk is fine too. More flimsy than Lian-Li, but it is neat and does the job for the money.
It is REALLY light, if you need to carry your PC around a lot.
My only complaints about the skyhawk is no room for a decent case fan in rear and front bezel is awkward to remove.

Just need it to be strong enough so that it doesn't get dented or warped during transport.

Well if "transporting it" means tossing it in the back of a pickup, and racing up and down the most potholed switchback roads you can find at high speed, then I doubt any case will suit you.

If you mean transporting it like a sane person, then the Lian Li will hold up just fine. The Lian Li's have an Anodized finish which makes them harder and more durable than plain aluminum, but it will still scratch if you aren't careful.

Just treat the case sensibly (you don't need to be overly careful) and you won't have any problems.
