Yah i know i just posted a topic like this about the temjin. Anyways i would love to know if someone here has a pc v1000 or 1100 or similar.

If so first question is how heavy are they? Second is how is your cooling? And third is how is the noise considering it has so many holes?

Just figured i need as much info as i can if im going to spend 200+ on a case.

they are very light for that they are aluminum, excellent cooling for that they are based on an open airflow design, and is very quiet, just like the apple G5. it's one of the better cases you can get now.

I use the V1200.

Its pretty light because it is aluminum.
Cooling for me has been great. I have a P4 3.06,3 15k SCSI drives,6800 Ultra, dvd, dvd burner,tv tuner card, etc.... So even with all this its been very good cooling for me.

With the 120 fans its very quiet.

I'm getting a V1000B with a side window, top 120mm hole, floppy drive , and a T3 thermal monitor. I did a lot of research on it before spending close to 300 bucks on a case, and I read that:

-It is light, considering the size of the case.

-It has great cooling. You really can't get better air cooling than this in a mid-tower case.

-Great quality. 2mm thick side panels, locking all-aluminum wheels, no sharp edges, all in all a very well made case.

-BTX case with ATX motherboard works out well.

However, I also read about some cons...

-Somewhat loud, with all the holes and open ventilation. But people have been commenting on how quiet it is, so...

-Expensive. You bet.

-No removable motherboard tray. This is probably the greatest downside to it, I don't know what Lian-Li was thinking when they didn't add this feature. But you really only need one if you'll be upgrading a lot.

Still a great case. I'm getting one and I know I'll love it, hope you do too.

Ok sounds like i will either get this or the 1200 both seem like great cases. Hopefully it will not be to loud. My only real worry is that i love to mod my cases but ive never had a case worth so much that i would be afraid of messing it up so hopefull there wont be to many things i will want to mod. Maybe i can put a window in the top and a couple white cold cathodes in the front so they shine out the holes also another intake fan might be good.

I think the reason they opted to not have a removable motherboard tray was the noise factor. Less moving parts less vibration. If you stick to 120mm fans and not let any 80?s in (including the HSF) you will be happy. If you drop in that tornado you will heard it.

Hmm maybe.

Anyway, Joerg, if you're afraid to be cutting away at your case, Performance-PCs.com will cut extra fan holes into your case for a fee, but if you have some money to splurge on a case like this it isn't too bad. Much better than totally ruining your case.
