What is the cost : quality ratio on Lian-Li cases? I am looking at an Enlight case ($58) and Lian-Li case ($107). Both are the same size, same # of bays, etc. Are Lian-Li's really that nice, or are they just overpriced?

I have a Lian-Li PC68 and I like it. I really like the removable Mobo tray which makes it easier to install. It's nice and light for when I take it to my dorm or to a Lan party. I have it filled with a lot of stuff so the cables are a mess, I don't know where to hide them. Sorry, I don't know much about the other case.

The thing to keep in mind about a good case: It will last you through several computers & wont go obsolete.

I'm all for spending a bit more on cases because of this. That said, I feel the Lian-Li is going to be worth it. I purchased a Lian-Li at an even higher price than that and I've never been happier with any component I've purchased. By the time you've installed your pc into it there will be no doubt in your mind you got your money's worth. You can 'feel' the quality of those cases just in the way the door slides on and off. I can't explain it in 1000 words or less so I'm not gonna try...you'll know what I mean when you own one.

the short answer - Lian Li's are expensive but you definately get *more* than your money's worth.

Not to mention that they are made with aluminum, so they are a lot lighter than those steel Antec cases.

It really depends on what is important to you though. If price is more important, by all means, get a cheaper case. I think that many people on these boards are willing to pay a bit more for something that is going to last them a long time. Enlight cases are great, nothing wrong with em, I'd use em to build computers for other people.

I think that you will find that Lian-li cases are extremely well made, great looking, and have great features. Lot's of mod capabilities too, and with all the drive bays, I really don't know why anyone would need to even consider a full tower case. My mid tower has 4 5.25 bays, 2 3.5 bays, and space for 5 hard drives on the hard drive rack mounted below the 2 intake fans. I guess you could fill up the bays pretty fast, but I think there is plenty of room for expansion.

Please don't compare Enlight with Lian-Li... maybe Enlight with Antec? or Lian-Li with CoolerMaster...
Anyway, best way to judge is to see them in person
