Lian Li really worth it?

How are the stock fans that come with the PC60? Are they loud? Can they be replaced with something better like Panaflows? Can the stock 80mm fans be replaced with larger 92mm Panaflos ?

I own a Lian Li PC60 and its a great cases. Its light but very strong and has no jagged edges inside. Plus I love the thumb screws

I don't really find the included fans in my pc 65 to be loud at all, even on the high setting.

I own a Lian-Li PC67USB, very nice looking and great cooling.

Previously, I have my Athlon 1.2G@1.4G in the Lian-Li, CPU Idle 48c, load 53c. Recently, I moved my whole Athlon system from the Lian-Li case to INWIN S508, the temperature goes up to CPU Idle 53c, load ( never dare to try ). I am ordering a Alpha now for the Athlon to stay stable in the INWIN. I have same number of fans in both case ( front, back, etc). And, I feel certain that Lian-Li Aluminum case provide much better cooling than normal steel case. BTW, if you are curious, I use the Lian-Li for my new 1.6A@2.4G P4 system, retail HSF, CPU Idle 37c, load 50c.

Also, Lian-Li case is very good handling, never need to use a screwdriver except for taking out of CPU fans on Athlon, and I like the idea of taking the whole motherboard out with the secondary back panel plate attached.

The cons: It is a little bit louder though.

How come you didn't like your Chilli? I got one for my girlfriend and she's totally likes everything about it (aside from the fact that she can't pick it up lol). I was actually thinking of getting the mini-cube, why didn't you like yours? I wish Lian-Li made something the size of the mini-cube.... >>



Li-Li makes some pretty small cases. The PC-35 (189×360×410mm) and PC-42 (180×320×341mm). They both look fugly, though. Not exactly a mini-cube.

The intake fans on the Li-li's (60, 61, 65, probably all similar models) are the AD0812mb-a76gl (Adda). 38.6CFM @ 34.4dB (set on high, of course). I don't know about the exhaust, possibly the same.

There are some minor differences in the exhaust fans between the models though. Like the PC60USB has a 3-pin fan connector, while the PC65 has one that connects directly to a molex. I personally like the 3-pin (then again, my mobo does have five fan headers), although the PC65 has a much cooler front bezel (LED's are red/blue instead of ass-green/ass-yellow plus the buttons look much better).
