When traveling somewhere and if you do some shopping in a grocery store. Find out the area code you are in and enter the phone number (YYY) 867-5309 to get the store rewards. I did this recently and it worked. I went through the self check out because I did not want to tell the checker the number, and I did sing it to myself while entering the numbers.

This is an amazing product to get wood splinters out.


If you have a metal splinter in your hand. Get some sand paper and use it on your hand going in the direction of the splinter. Think of it as you are trying to sand the splinter out of your hand. You are trying to draw it out of your hand.

An easy way to get your xmas tree out of the house without making a huge mess is to lop off all the branches one by one.
As a kid i remember years of dragging the old dry tree across the house and squeezing thru doorways, dropping needles everywhere. So one year, once i was on my own, I grabbed a tree pruner/loper and took off all the branches and laid them in a pile on an old sheet, then hauled it out in a bundle.
Less mess, less fuss. No finding needles in the carpet for months afterwards.

There's a bunch of ways to tie the midline loop. This one is reasonable enough, but it can jam tight with a heavy load. You can use it rope on rope, but a biner on the sliding sections reduces friction and wear. Terminate the end using an anchor hitch. Easy to tie and secure...

Thanks for that. I had heard that if you put a curse word in the search that would stop the AI summary, but the problem with that is then it skews the search results.

I just switched to DuckDuckGo rather than fool with that, Google's search results have gotten progressively worse anyhow. DDG has an AI summary too, but you can tell it to go away, or show up less often, etc (unlike Google's version)

When making a camp fire or even a burn pile, set it up to burn top down instead of bottom up. It feels unconventional but it actually works better. Put the bigger material at the bottom and keep adding on, then on top add the kindling and paper, and light it. This is more true for wood stove fires but I found that it works well for camp fires too. It's especially good if most of the wood is wet, use dry stuff to get it going, if the stuff at the bottom is wet it won't matter much once the fire is going on top. It will just burn it's way down.

Every one needs to learn how to "Roadie Wrap". This is a way of winding your cords (including extensions cords) to eliminate the twist that gets in them.

Word of warning, when you go to roadie wrap your extension cords you will need to unroll them or else you will still have the twist in them.
