Light switches or WHAT THE HELL???

I have only changed one light switch and it was a simply on/off switch.
I have a few switches that have switches on another wall. Both will turn the light on or off independently. If I want to change one switch what the hell kind of switch do I need? Are these two pole switches?

They're called 3 way switches. Any hardware store should have them, or amazon of course.

Both of the two switches have to be 3 way but if it previously worked with both, they must both already be 3 way.

Double pole is a separate thing, usually for switching 240VAC in the US.

3 way switch. Just be sure when you remove the old switch to take not of which wires go where, then repeat that pattern on the new switch.

If there is a third switch in the circuit, you'll need a four way switch for that.

Thanks guys my wife called the previous light the boob light she hated it. I installed a sparkly light she really liked but it was blindingly bright it is now dimmable.
