Linksys WCF11 - Compact Flash to PCMCIA?

I want to get a Wireless compact flash 802.11b card for my Ipaq so I can check email and stuff from class and the library. But I also want to use the same card in my notebook when I need to. I know that the Symbol and Dlink CF 802.11b cards support the use of a CF to PC Card adapter and Symbol states it on their website and Dlink actually sells a kit with the adapter. I want the Linksys because I plan on getting a Linksys WAP and it looks better than the Dlink and is cheaper than the Symbol. Will this card work with the adapter. I hate to buy it and it doesn't have WinXP drivers. I don't know if it is any different than the PCCard version.

CF cards come in two sizes CF and CF-II.

PCMCIA adapters come in these flavors too.

The regular CF to PCMCIA cost about $7.

The CF-II to PCMCIA cost about $17-$20.

I don?t think that there is evidence that if you have a Linksys WAP it will not work well with other brand card.

What ever you getting make sure first that it has the XP drivers.

get a PC card sleeve for your ipaq and get a orinoco silver or gold.
