I have RedHat 8.0 up and running for a little while now. I got completely got rid of windows 2k. I have been unable to burn or rip a cd using linux. Whenever I try, it looks like something is going wrong because it basically goes really slow without any progress. I basically have RedHat 8.0 installed, and my system spec is in my profile, but I'm using a Pioneer 10X DVD and Plextor 12/10/32A. I imagine both are using Atapi. I read somewhere about using a SCSI emulation, but I'm unsure of how to do this, or whether I need to do this. I'd really like to be able to rip and burn cds.
Also I have two 30 GB drives that I had in a RAID array under Windows. I had problems setting it up under RedHat, so I just unraided them and installed. How can I tell if both drives are mounted? Will they be just one big partition?
Thanks for the help,
Jason
