linux partition/dual boot

In Partition Magic it lists these for Linux Partition Types : Ext2, Ext3, and Linux Swap. So I should use Ext3 for my root and Linux Swap for the swap partition, correct?

Sounds good. Looks like tonight I will be installing linux! What is a good website to look for different programs for linux?

Well, I just tried to install Suse Linux from the boot iso I downloaded. Apparently I cant do it since I would need to do a net install and there are no built in drivers with the boot iso for my Nforce 2 ethernet adapter.

SuSE net install's are not really the most pleasant affair anyway - they really want you to buy the discs. But if you're just starting off, you're probably better off with a CD install anyway. There's just less to get wrong that way. As stated above, you should be able to find SuSE or Mandrake at local shops. Or download ISO's (except SuSE). Or order from a place like Cheapbytes.
