He likes his women like he likes his wine ... aged 14 years.
Consider her a 4 year investment.

Yeah yeah, he's sick but it doesn't surprise me.

I guess I should put my 2 cents in. I just turned 34 last week, and my wife is 22 turning 23 Arpil 15th. That is 11 1/2 years differents. I didn't plan on meeting, and marrying that much younger then me, but it happened.

The funny part is I meet her at work when she was 17. But along with everyone else that I worked with, we thought she was 22 or 23 at the youngest, but most of us thought about 26 or so because of her maturity. Anyhow, once I found out she was only 17, I kept telling her that I could not be involved with her, I could go to jail.. blah blah blah. Anyhow, she still chased me for a year and I kept using the exuse she was under 18 and I couldn't get involved with her.... well that exuse worked until she turned 18. On her 18th birthday, she showed up at work, and she hit on me some more, so I told her the same excuse, she is jailbate under 18, blah blah blah.. which she kindly informed me it was her birthday, and that excuse went out the window... I couldn't think of a excuss fast enough.. and well.. 4 years later, we are married.

My point of telling you my story is sometimes things just happen that you don't expect or plan. You can't always control how you feel about someone due to there age.

It could also be the old story that he believes, she is older then 14 and is being mislead about her age. My brother fell into that trap when he was about 24 or 25. Thought she was 20 years old, and that is what she told him. Found out she was 13 when the cops payed him a visit. He proved he was mislead and no charges where brought against him however, it shows how easy it is to be mislead. Some young women tend to dress themselves in a manner that makes them appear to be much older then they actually are and some can act it as well.

Anyhow, do I think it is wrong for a 22 year old to be with a 14 year old? Honestly, there are to many unknowns to answer that fairly.

I'm not that familiar with all Asian cultures, but most isn?t active till marriage. And, that is often at at least 16 or older. The majority or common believe in most Asian culture today is that 18-19 is okay to get marry.

As for 14 is okay to be marry off to older men believe was a common practice that died out at least 50-60 years ago.

Funny how socially immature a 29 y/o would have to be to marry, or even date, a 17 y/o. He must have been hard up to ever get a date!!! lmao

edit: Considering my loser stepdad married his wife when he was 28 and she 18, I can see where desperation would set in. Hell it was probably his only chance to ever bear offspring, no girl over 20 would have ever dated him.... I can't say I blame him lol

also depends on who's using who.....

if she's using him (especially for booze), then shame on the booze part.
if he's using her.....shame on him.

But just remember, a few hundred years ago....14,15 were the normal.

And besides, as long as he doesn't get hanky panky.....I don't give a rats ass provided she's ok w/ it.
She's a living, brreathing sentient being....capable of making her own decisions (including bad ones).

plus he can just take her to italy......

I am assuming your friend was younger when she dated this guy, like maybe a year or two ago... when she was 15 / 16. There's a pattern here... he's probably dating young teens because it puts him in control... nothing more. A 14 / 15 year old isn't going to stand up against him and will basically do whatever he tells them to because they haven't developed that "relationship sense". He's a sick fvck, end of story.

For me, any more than 4 years tends to get iffy. If you and your SO are not within the age range where you could have been in HS / college together at the same time, then thats pushing it for me. Yeah, in older relationships, sometimes stuff happens... but at this age especially, its wrong.
