I'm building a $2500 gaming rig, so I figure if these Logitech gaming mice really make a difference I might flip for one:

I don't want wireless because I use Linux, BUT that's where the buck stops. I like to play some games in Linux from time to time, especially Americas Army and then the mouse software won't work in it, but only Windows, that is why I've only used basic mice before and they have worked great for me.
So personally not sure if they hype is worth it.
I'm interested in the MX 518 or the G5 Laser.
Any thoughts here?
