Logitech mouse question

so those fuckers decided to discontinue the G7 which IMO was the best mouse the ever made. I'm prob gonna need a new mouse soon and i want to know which mouse they currently make is the closes in shape to the G7 wireless would be preferred but ill deal with wired if i have to.

I have a Steel Series Ikari and its close but different enough that i took it to work and use it there i cant game with it. I also tried a razor Lacheis at some point a few years ago and i cant stand the shape of it. too long and too flat

Well, the MX518 is still in production and has the same exact size and shape, although slightly different button layout.

The G700 is wireless and the spiritual successor to the G7, but they've mixed things up and went with a different design which is modeled more after the Performance Mouse MX (the successor to the MX Revolution)

The G500 is close but they've changed the design a bit here too. Its closer than the G700 is but they widened it a bit from the MX5xx/G5/G7 design.

Razor's Imperator has a similar shape.

Death Adder might work depending on your grip style, and there's the Mamba which is identical in size and shape to the DeathAdder but can be wired or wireless.

There's also the R.A.T.9 which is wireless, and while it might look clunky and uncomfortable its supposed to be completely adjustable to fit your grip perfectly

At any rate I'd recommend trying to go into a retail store that has peripherals on display so you can test them out for yourself.

I went from an MX 518 to the G500 about a year ago, and at first the little bit of extra width was strange, but after a few weeks I got used to it and wouldn't go back.
Other things I like about the G500:

-the matte on top is also less "slippery" and doesn't get as greasy
-The polymer on the sides is a little bit pebbled for grip--also disconcerting at first but again, wouldn't go back now.
-the weights options are nice to switch when I go between games.

Anyway, I agree with bunnyfubbles (great name BTW). Go to BB or something and try out a bunch. Then go with your gut.
