Logitech z560 for the TV!??

If i were to get these "amazing speakers" could it work with a normal tv plugged into a dvd player?
Right now all i am looking for is some thumping sound for when i rent movies.. then put the speakers back to the pc

Lets say i bought a dobly digital reciver, could i then hook the speakers up and get surround sound?


O yea, what is the best sound card for these speakers under 50 dollars... cheaper the better

it's probably very hard to hook these speakers up to a receiver because the subwoofer has a custom DIN input from the logitech sound control panel, so they only way to get input into the sub is somehow hooking up the 1/8" stereo plugs that usually go into the soundcard output into the receiver.

i have the philips acoustic edge for these speakers and they work very well together. the qmss technology (for the acoustic edge) works similarly to prologic II for all my stereo streams and listening to my mp3s hasn't been the same since i got this pair.

I'm not familiar with these exact speakers, but I'm assuming they use 2 1/8" cables to connect to the sound card (for front and rear). If so, it should be trivial to get some adaptors from radioshack or elsewhere to convert the RCA outputs from the receiver to 1/8" stereo connection and run it like that.
