This is what I would like to do:
1. Install a fresh copy of Win XP after an fdisk and re-format, then install current drivers, update windows, and do small settings changes (ie. background image, desktop colors, screen resolution, etc.). note... I have this step figured out, sorry no need for help there.
2. In DOS run a program to compress that windows install and burn to CD in DOS, then be able to just copy the image from the CD to my HDD instead of re-installing windows every time I re-format.
I work for Intel at the Gateway RMA department and I borrowed a small program we use to re-image our test HDD called GhostPE. This I tried once but it errored after the CD burn and I ruined the CD-R.
I was wondering if anyone knows of a free or relatively cheap program to do the same, and where to get it.
Thanks
