I'm preparing to build my dream rig. However, although NewEgg has everything I want in terms of hardware, their case selection isn't all that great.

I'm looking for something with excellent quality. I'd rather not go over $175 or $200 if possible...

I went to Xoxide.com, and they have a much greater seleciton of computer cases.

I'm wondering what y'all would recommend. The Lian Li computer at NewEgg didn't impress me very much. I need at least 4 hard drive bays. The Lian Li only had three...

Thanks in advance for any help

Coolermaster ATC-201 is what I have.
4 fan mounts, fitted with fans (4 fans of course), removable mobo tray, front filter.
4 internal HDD bays, 2 floppies, 4 CD bays.
Looks snazzy, aluminium. Nice if you change stuff about a lot, a removeable motherboard tray is a godsend.
You can get a window and have extra fan space from it if you want.

Or get a Wavemaster if you want a door (not sure how good they are though).

Don't know how much it costs in the US though. I'm sticking with mine for as long as I can though. Thumbscrews too!

I also have a CoolerMaster ATC-201 and I love it. Easily the best looking case, and it's darn functional to boot.

Another vote here for the CoolerMaster ATC-201. I've got one, and it's really nice. I could give a rats ass about LEDs, too.

I have the same case

I put in a Thermaltake SIlent PurePower 480 (W013)

It's an awesome case. The only thing to be caseful of is securing the PCI/AGP cards. I threaded one of the slots because the screws are much much harder than the auminun case...

Hmmm... Not sure what form factor you want from your post.

I just bought a Chieftec Dragon series in blue from Newegg. Lots of room, kind of cool, firewire, usb, headphone on front. I do not really like the drive cover, but ASUS PC-DL board fits nicely.

If you want a tower... buy the Fong Kai FK333 (on directron). It's a GORGEOUS case that's professional looking and simple. It's entirely toolless except for the motherboard. PCI cards, Hard drives, 5.25 drives, etc... all no tools to install.

The cable management is great, and it's got a huge 120mm rear exhaust and 90mm intake, that if you buy the right one... will be damned quiet too. The case is well insulated so it's not making a lot of noise.

If you want a desktop case, I'm going to recommend the Silverstone cases. They are what I use for my HTPC and it's simply gorgeous. It's elegant, sleek, and solid.

I am a bigger fan of professional and sleek over buttons and lights in a case, but that's just me. Coolermaster makes some great cases but if you get their nicer ones, it's $200 just for the case; then you need to add cash in for the PS. Either one of these cases can be had for $200 or a tad over WITH a PS... so you save cash too.

I don't know what Lian-li you where looking at, but my pc-65 has places for 5 hard drives and you could use what ever external 3.5 that you didn't fill up for HDD space, for max 8 HDDs. I would have to say that I am 150% satisfied with my Lian-Li, but I have really been looking at getting the Lian-Li Pc-V1000 that Anandtech tested the other day, it looks awesome. I look the way the motherboard was flipped to the other side, it seems that you could actually see the top of you video card which would be cool, providing they come out with a replacement side later with a side window.

Yep I agree. I would trade my Chieftec Dragon in any day for a WaveMaster.

The Wavemaster is a great case. The door is pretty good only issue i have with the entire case is that the magnet that holds the door in place is a little weak but its definately not a dealbreaker.
