whoops!

PLEASE when POST threads asking for input on system builds tell us...

1. What YOUR PC will be used for. That means what types of tasks you'll be performing.
-Gaming, not Crisis but I'd like to be able to play newer games on High settings (ie fallout, etc)
-Audio Editing, production, etc.
-General Use

2. What YOUR budget is. A price range is acceptable as long as it's not more than a 20% spread

$1400-1600

3. What country YOU will be buying YOUR parts from.

USA

4. IF YOU have a brand preference. That means, are you an Intel-Fanboy, AMD-Fanboy, ATI-Fanboy, nVidia-Fanboy, Seagate-Fanboy, WD-Fanboy, etc, etc, etc, you get the picture.

I've had really good experiences with Zalman coolers so I'm probably going to go with the CNPS9900 when I can get a hold of one (are they available yet?).

5. If YOU intend on using any of YOUR current parts, and if so, what those parts are.
No.

6. IF YOU have searched and/or read similar threads.
Yes.

7. IF YOU plan on overclocking or run the system at default speeds.
Overclocking after I get an aftermarket cooler.

8. WHEN do you plan to build it?
Now.

So far I plan on using the following parts:

Western Digital VelociRaptor WD3000GLFS 300GB 10000 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive

EVGA 01G-P3-1280-AR GeForce GTX 280 1GB 512-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card

G.SKILL 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Triple Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9T-6GBNQ

ASUS P6T Deluxe LGA 1366 Intel X58 ATX Intel Motherboard

Intel Core i7 920 Nehalem 2.66GHz LGA 1366 130W Quad-Core Processor Model BX80601920

Antec Nine Hundred Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Retail

Main thing I need help with is picking a power supply that will give me adequate capacity to add another GTX 280 down the line.
How big does the PSU need to be for this system with ONE GTX280 and how big does the PSU need to be for TWO GTX280's?

Thanks in advance!

That's probably the least amount of into I've ever had provided concerning a prospective build!

I wouldn't recommend adding another GTX 280 later on. The gains from SLi are almost never as good as simply dropping in a brand new video card. Unless you're planning to add the 280 within the next six months to a year tops, don't bother with it.

Save some money and get a GTX260.
What size monitor will you be running?
PCP&C 610W or Corsair 650W TX would be more than enough.
WD640 gives comparable performance and more space than that raptor. Also consider another harddrive for scratch space.
