It's funny you mention that because opening a Crossfit gym (since I can't find one close enough to me) has actually been on my mind

However, while I really love to exercise and do CF, I feel like sitting around at a gym 8 hours a day would be way way too mind numbing.

The point of opening a Crossfit gym would be for you to work 14 hour days for about a year, and then become successful enough so that other people stand around work for you, while you romp around Europe with a supermodel.

What are the advancement opportunities like? Myabe you're subconsiously looking ahead and feel "stuck" where you are. Do you see yourself with this company for the next 5+ years? Maybe you just don't feel challenged anymore.

Last year I did the same thing you did; went on a week long vacation to try and re-energize myself. But when I got back to work I quickly fell into the same malaise I had before. It became even more clear to me after I got back from vacation that this wasn't what I wanted to do, and I ended up quitting the job 3 weeks later. I've recently been offered my childhood dream job, so it all worked out for the best.

At any rate, I hope you find what it was that got you excited about the job when you first started. But always keep an eye out for better opportunities too.

I've had the opposite experience with internships. I don't even sh!t without permission, and I work my ass off the entire time. Hell at my last one I kept on working when they brought in 8 new iphones the day they were released for the first time.

Frankly, it was worth every moment of labor as the recommendation was priceless
