BMW is smoking some bad crack trying to sell an M4 for $130K. That is Porsche 911 Turbo/GT3 territory. And that spoiler looks horribly out if place on the M4.

i'm sure its functional. the GT3 RS spoiler looks pretty ridiculous too and the weird front fender vent slots, but hey they do things

I had a 135i and loved it. Great, smooth car. Fit and finish was nice. Tight steering, tons of torque, and a very easy manual gear box. Stock run flats left a lot to be desired and some interior materials felt lower end for a BMW. Overall the car was a complete driver's package.

The thing that always bugged me about BMW was how they nickle and dime every detail. The standard cars are usually completely stripped. They wanted $500 to plug a iphone in and another $500 just to use sirius. It has been a few years since I've shopped them, but that was what turned me off buying another one.

BMW does have pretty high profit margins. I kind of like that you can get a stripper type car though. The way I see it for BMW to make whatever % profit they make someone has to pay for those options.

so if you really don't want a ton of options then you get a much better deal on the actual car. a 320i with no options still has a pretty decent base package and they are barely over $30k and come with free maintenance and 4 years of warranty. its actually a fairly compelling value over say a loaded focus titanium or civic EX-L. if you do say euro delivery for 5% off even better.

Like if i wanted nav or a sunroof yes, it would seem like a lot to pay $2000 for a nav screen or $1000 for a sunroof. but on the other hand, since i generally don't want those 2 things, well the guys who want nav and sunroofs can pay for them instead of spreading the cost out to every single person who might not have wanted them anyway

I'm fine with having to pay for sun roofs, nav, and such. But when we are talking thousands to get basic features, it starts to feel like I'm just a big dumb wallet in their eyes. Especially when I see them plug a tiny dongle in the back of the head unit to "activate" blue tooth for $600 especially on a higher end car.

As a customer, I don't give a flip about BMW's profit margins
