That is awesome the side airbags went off before almost anything happened. He looks like he lost control, wonder if AWD would have saved em... or he would have pushed harder...shrug.

No. AWD does not limprove the coefficient of friction between the rubber and the road. He would have sailed off of that corner just as fast with AWD.

If this road was closed, well then the guy is just another random idiot....there are millions of those as it is so I'll give him a pass.

If the road was not closed, then I hope something horrible happens to him. He would have killed someone if they had happened to be coming in the opposite direction.

I don't quite get all the anger. He was being an idiot by pushing it on that road, yeah, but it looked like he at least had a clear line of sight to see if a car was incoming.

He didn't have a clear line of site going into that curve, nor could he have done anything about it if he had seen another car coming, other than perhaps drive off the cliff sooner.

ATOT rage at it's best. Not sure if you all are bigger dipshits or the driver. At least the driver was out doing something instead of being an armchair expert.

Yes, he was out acting like an idiot and endangering himself and others without any heed for the consequences. Judging from his lines in the curves leading up to the last one he was completely incompetent to be driving that car that fast on that road. Personally, I'd rather see him in an armchair, and restrained.

I saw this yesterday on Jalopnik, and I get chills when I see him going off the edge. I think that's some kind of neurotic fear of mine, and he does it for real.

Anyway kids, this is NOT how to drive fast. He's going left of center around curves around a dangerous road that he obviously is not familiar with. I'm hoping his insurance company gets a hold of this and refuses to cover the accident.

Didn't realise that the M3 was prone to understeer like that. But Holy creole he was going fast around blind corners!

My old Hyundai elantra understeered rediculously - it was more like nosteer. But that's a cheap FWD. My IS250 RWD likes to oversteer a lot.

Also I wonder if he had stability control, though I doubt it would have saved him. I didn't hear any alarm, but I don't know whether all makes have audible alarms on the stability control.

no audible alarm but a flashing icon on the dash if it were on and doing its job.

Should have had a Mustang Boss 302. It would have handled the course much better.

At least he wasn't weaving across an interstate while travelling 15mph under the speed limit while applying makeup while eating McDonalds while talking on a cell phone.

nah, he was just going way too fast on a 2 lane road and flipped his car while driving like a jackass.

This looks like Arizona and if I had to guess, it was out by Roosevelt Lake.

I could be wrong, but man it sure does look like it.
