Mach 3 razor users...

I know a whole lot of you guys in here (maybe ladies too?) prefer the Mach 3 razor over all others. How many shaves do you get from your blades? I'd say I get 3-4 per blade before I feel the need to change them. I need to get a fogless mirror sometime and try shaving in the shower and see if that helps 'em last longer..... so share!

Pricey, but then I never (hardly ever) get even so much as a nick.

It is worth it in my book.

I usually dispose after 4... I cut too easily with my grizzly stiff hairs

If you have a mirror, put a thin coat of shaving cream (rub it in till clear) on it to prevent it from fogging up.

Wouldn't use anything else

Just make sure you get your face soaked well before putting on the gel/cream/whatever (i prefer gel).

I only shave about every 3 days...a blade lasts me about 1.5 - 2 months.

I am almost bald on top, but the hair on my face is like wire, and thick. Since I have this kind of beard I need to go over my face more than once at various angles to get a really good shave and this makes the Mach 3 almost too sharp for me for the first few shaves. BUT, and I am dead serious in telling you this, I can get 3 months of good shaves out of a Mach 3. I would rather use a 90 day old Mach 3 than any brand new disposable including "Good News" (my previous razor of choice). The quality of metal they use is this razor must be the best.

Are those the ones with the wires running across the blades to keep you dolts who don't know how to shave from cutting yourself? If so, they suck. One swipe down my face and those wires fill up with hair, rendering the razor uterly useless.

I got fed up with "shaving" in the traditional sense 2 years ago. I went out and bought a $15 beard trimmer and haven't looked back since. I might not be "baby butt" smooth. But hell, it's a lot faster, a lot easier to clean up, and sure is a hell of a lot cheaper.

No wires on these razors. Triple bladed, though. And pretty damn cool. I have yet to cut myself , save for the occasional decapitation of facial blemishes.

And the shave is incredible. You might as well have dissolved the hairs with acid, they're just GONE.

Gillette sends them out on people's 18th birthdays, I got two of them for free. Of course I'd already been using one for like a year, but hey... Free stuff is cool.

Definitely the best razor I have ever used, and I havetried them all. I have a beard made of steel wool. I can't use any brand of electric, period. The Mach 3 makes all other razors obsolete. I, like IronMike, have to go over my face several times at different angles to get a close shave, and I can use the same blade for months as long as I use lots of hot water on my face to soften it up first.

I get about 2 -3 weeks of use out of my blades. Defintely th best shave I ever had. I refuse to use anything else. My bro like to use my razor has well, but he never buys freaking blades :|

I make my blades last at least a month (though by the end I'm not shaving quite as much ) Damn things are too expensive.

The Schick disposables are pretty nice; I've used them occasionally over the past year and a half. I get better leverage with it, but the Mach 3 is nice because it's so easy to clean the hair out of.

one blade would last about 3/4 of my hairy back...before needing to be replaced
